The answer is simple but sad, PlayFirst were purchased by Glu, now its subsidiary of Glu and you know, Glu, aka Glu Mobile are all about mobile games, as a result even Diner Dash and Cooking Dash were rebooted for mobile (Android/iOS) Why didn't PlayFirst release the other games on Steam?
Why isn't PlayFirst fixing this game's crashing bug?
